Know who's sailing.
No photocopied IDs.
Before the charter the customer scans their ID with a phone and records a short selfie, and Didit matches the face to the photo and checks sanctions lists. For a bareboat charter Didit also reads the sailing licence and compares the name with the ID.

Questions about verification
Don't see your question? Write or call, we usually answer within one working day.
Ask a questionIs verification mandatory?
Your call. In settings you choose whether it is off, optional or required, and how customers prove a sailing licence for bareboat charters.
Who checks the documents?
Didit, an identity verification provider. You see the result with the document, face match and AML in the dashboard, and in a doubtful case you approve or reject the customer yourself.
How do you check a sailing licence?
The customer uploads a photo of the licence, and Didit reads the document, compares the name with the ID and flags suspected tampering.
Does a returning customer go through it all again?
No. A signed-in customer verified in the last 12 months confirms with a selfie only. You set that period yourself.
